Yard tip
The rate con ain’t take-home — posted RPM is the start of the math, not the pocket.
Broker posts a number. Rate con looks fine. Then fuel, empty miles to get there, unpaid detention, and the cut in the middle eat the week. Miles look busy. Pocket doesn’t.
What to watch
What the rate con said versus what hit your pocket after fuel. How many empties you rolled for free. Whether detention paid. Who kept the spread. A strong posted RPM still loses if the rest of the lane owns the check.
Next step
Do a Lane Check with Rob at CDL Agent — not hiring. Talk seat, miles, rate-con pain, and take-home. We put together what other guys in a seat like yours are making and shoot you the write-up.
Lane Check
You start it. Call or text (450) 235-2436 with “Lane check”, or email hi@cdlagent.com. Or open the Lane Check page.
No list buy. No recruiting pitch. Just the check, plain. Calls are recorded. Text STOP to leave SMS.
