Yard tip

Don’t judge the week by gross. Look at what hit your pocket after fuel.

A fat RPM on the rate con can still leave a thin week. Fuel, deadhead, and waiting time eat the check before you ever see home time.

What to watch

Last week’s miles — rough is fine. How they pay you (mile, percent, hour). Then the number that matters: after fuel, what actually landed.

If you only track gross, you’ll chase lanes that look good on paper and feel empty on Friday.

Next step

Do a Lane Check. Three minutes with Rob at CDL Agent — not hiring. You talk seat, miles, and take-home. We put together what other guys in a seat like yours are making and shoot you the write-up.
